"Isn't that rather hard on the animal that builds itself all wrong because it chose wrong Ray-vibrational diet?"

"Only by Trial and Error can we learn.

The animal already has learned many things by trial and error. Every dog that needs an evacuant eats grass. By the study of Cause and Effect does the mind of the Entity become conscious of itself. Consciousness of itself, or self-awareness, is the aim of all living things who are on the high road of development into creative individuals, who are on the grand path of Development towards Godhood." 

"Is all sin then the same as error and disease - lack of balance in the ingredients of which one is made?"

"Exactly. All sin, all error, all disease, is lack of balance in the ingredients of which one has made oneself.

Christ said: 'Which is it easier for me to say? Thy sins be forgiven thee, or Take up they bed and walk.' (Meaning of course 'your disease has left you')."

 

 

"Then that which we call sin is not necessarily evil?"

 

"It is all a matter of where you are on the Path of Development. The children of the kindergarten or first form are not more wrong than those of the sixth form, they are merely at an earlier stage of development.

 

Through experience, through trial and error, through the study of cause and effect they will learn."

 

"Is there so such thing as the power of evil?"

 

"There is no such thing as the power of evil. It only means that that where this sort of thing seems to emanate from an Entity, that the Entity has learned how to open himself to the one power - the power of God, but something is wrong with the receiving set. A very powerful wireless set will oscillate with a tremendous noise if something is wrong with its mechanism.

 

The quality of the receiving set is the Ray-vibrational content of the Entity, and according to the balance or lack of balance of the Ray-vibrational make-up of the individual so does the power of God show itself through him in good, mediocre or so-called evil deeds.

 

We all know what it is to say: 'So-and-so is warped in his outlook, he can only the thing from one angle.' Or: 'So-and-so sees everything through rose-colored glasses.' Both these cases show a lack of balance. Where there is lack of balance, there is lack of Truth.
