"Then the Mind of God is in and through all things."

"Yes. As well as being the Central Cause outside his creation, God is the directing, conscious Mind within every cell of His creation on this earth.

God is behind all Evolution.

God-mind outside this planet and God-mind inside every cell of this planet guides and directs Evolution.

"Then how is it that in Evolution God seems to make mistakes? Dead-ends occur in the lines of life and the creature dies out. The sabre-toothed tiger ... the brontosaurus."

"God, my child, does not make mistakes! Remember that all life is one. These so-called 'dead-ends' are neither dead nor ends. Life is withdrawn from that outward form and the same life, the same individual collection of Ray-vibrations, is expressed in another form. Climatic conditions have become unsuitable for the one expression of life so another outward form is evolved to carry on the torch. It is the God-stream of life progressing always towards the creation of the perfection expression of Itself in outward form upon this planet.

This brings us back to your question: How it is that the seat of the Mind, instead of remaining dispersed about in the many single cells of the body, concentrates in the nucleus of the head? Well, keeping in mind that Evolution as directed by God is seeking to find a perfect expression of Itself within this plane of matter, and bearing in mind also that all God-thought, all God-creation as individual (the individual Ray-vibrations which are the framework of the loom), then you can see that the God-intention is to create as perfect individual expression of Himself upon this planet as possible.

God is creating individuals like Himself. 

Likeness to Himself involves the use of Mind in the individual Entity. Likeness to Himself in an individual involves the ability to think for himself. God consciously thinks. God consciously directs. So must the perfecting individual be able to thinks consciously and to direct himself consciously. God, therefore, intends that through Evolution every individual shall have the conscious direction of his own vessel.

Therefore, being made of individual thought substance, being tuned in from its inception with the Individual-thinking Mind of God - and like attracting like creatively - so has grown up in some forms of life the nucleus with which to think for itself. Those that have this 'head-end accumulation' as the scientists call it, are merely further along the Path of Development than those forms of life that have not yet achieved it. All have been and must go the same way along the same path of Evolution."

"Presumably the mind-spark within each cell did not leave each cell in the body because the central mind had developed?"

"Most certainly not. The mind-spark is the life-spark, as we have seen. Every cell within the body retains and is animated by its mind-spark still - of course. Here we must remind ourselves again that all growth, all building is carried on from within outwards. The finer vibrational form (or Spirit form) of the Entity is in closer tune with the finer vibrational Rays from which it builds itself; so as it becomes more complex and in tune with more of the Individual Mind-Rays of God, as the magnetic Attraction of the God-mind creates the desire within the Entity for more Mind, more God-within is built up. From within - outwards: so is gradually built up the material vehicle for the functioning of the mind within the Entity. The head-end accumulation takes the form of the brain!"

"And are all the little cell minds in touch with the central mind of the Entity?"

"Yes, of course. You see, each Entity according to its individual growth and reactions has made of itself an individual conglomerate or compound vibration - or wave-length. Just as a chord of many notes on the piano harmonize into one individual sound. Well everything within that Entity answers to and is in tune with that particular wave-length. So that though mercifully we are not conscious of the individual activities of every cell in our bodies, there is a 'rapport' between them and the central mind."


"In that case our minds should be able to control our bodies."

"Of course our minds should be able to control every separate cell in our bodies. Mind, if properly used, if harnessed to the great outside God-mind or power, is the greatest Force in the Cosmos. 

Man is just beginning to get a glimmer of this Truth.

In many instances it is quite obviously demonstrable that mind has control over the cells of the body. The mind-desire of the sweet pea is that to live it must have support. So its tendrils learn by Trial and Error to seek and to curl around any support within reach.

In our own bodies many signs of the control of mind over the cells have become automatic, so that we do not notice the control, but it is always there. The whole activity of the body visible and invisible is the result of the mind's control over the cells of the body. When we wish to empty the bladder of water, the mind consciously directs the cells to open the way. When we feel an irritation of the skin the mind control the muscles of the arm and hand and directs it to the offending place, making the fingers rub against it. If the mind for some reason were certain of the inability of that arm to move, it would not be able to raise the arm an inch (This is a very far-reaching point and we will come back to it later).

But lest us establish this fact: that the control of the mind over the individual cells of the body is done by the complete 'rapport' between the mind of that Entity and the mind-cells of its own body. They all function on one particular wave-length, therefore the attunement between them is complete. The central mind and the cell-minds function as one.

You see, to visualize it clearly you have to think of the Mind-force as fluid, fluid in the sense that electricity is fluid. In electricity you connect the wires to certain contact points and the electricity flow between. So it is with the Mind Force."

"Then if the central mind in the body is in touch with and controls every cell in that body, how do you account for disease? Surely no mind wants to put disease into its cell?"

"You could answer that question yourself if you put together our former conclusions.

Remember that all growth is from within outwards. That just as the jelly-fish floating in the ocean opens and closes its apertures to those particles in the water that it thinks will be good for it to take in to nourish and build it, so all the time is the finer vibrational form - or spirit form - of the entity moving in an ocean of vibrational Rays, opening and closing itself to those vibrations which are for ever offering themselves. The spirit form opens itself to this Ray but not to that; then to this other but not to that other one.

And so it grows in complexity. So its own vibrational content grows, and as it grows its differentness to its fellows increases It is more of this and less of that, and so on, multiplied hundreds of times according to the development of the Entity. As it becomes more complex in its mind-ray-vibrational-content, so increases its power to choose its food, its spiritual food (its vibrational intake). Then you can see that just as we have already said, the human being who has taken in too little sugar in his diet has a craving for sugar, or the child who has eaten too many sweets develops spots.

According to the lack of balance in the vibrational content of the Entity so is the lack of vibrational balance built up into the spirit form of the Entity. And as growth is from within outwards, so the lack of balance in the Ray-vibrational diet is manifested in the outward physical body of the Entity. So is the outward physical shape of every plant and animal and human being created, molded and shaped by the Ray-vibrational-mind-content of that individual Entity. So we are our own sculptors"
