All healing is done through the power of the Spirit. The
healing of doctors and nurses as well as the healing of
spiritual healers. In one form
or another the power of the Spirit is being used. It is the
power of the spirit that effects the joining together of
broken flesh and bones. It is the law of Attraction ... the
desire for cohesion which animates the cells, which animates
the heart, which animates the mind of the Entity. No doctor
could heal the man who was determined not to get better. Just
as the desire of the heart builds, so does it destroy.
Healing by
use of medicines is using the law of spiritual healing by
outward and visible means. Disease is lack of vibrational
balance. In the sick person it is necessary to restore the
vibrational balance of the body of the affected part. As all
life is vibrational, all chemicals, all herbs, all medical
appliances are vibrational too. Therefore a restoration to
balance can sometimes be affected by the application of two
plusses to two minuses, of positivity to negativity. it is
simply a matter of finding in the resources of the earth the
vibrational element that when added to the affected part,
restores vibrational balance.
It is not
wise to ignore or look down upon the healing of doctors. The
resources of the earth, chemical; mineral, vegetable and
animal, are the ingredients from which our bodies are made.
Health in our bodies means a proper balance of these
ingredients. Medical science can often supply exteriorly, as
it were the element needful for that restoration of balance.
Spiritual
healing is the application of the same law by different
machinery. It is the infusion by the principle of radiation of
the Love-rays of God.
God is all
Love. God is all good. Love is healing. Dis-ease is the
absence of Love (or Wisdom, or Balance).
Spiritual
healing infuses the perfect love vibration into the mind and
body.
This is where
the necessity for faith becomes obvious.
The man with
no faith is the man with a closed mind and body to the
Love-rays of God. He has not viaduct whereby the healing power
can flow in. The man without faith cannot be healed. The man
with perfect faith is wide open to the Love-rays of God. He is
open to healing power. A child or an animal is more receptive
to healing power than an adult whose niggling doubts and
parenthetical mental reservations keep closing the flood gates
across the viaduct of faith.
In the cases
of the doctor's patient and the patient who is to try to
receive healing through spiritual means, the all important
factor is of course the mind. The mind linked with the desire
of the heart controls the whole Entity. The desire of the
heart is the mainspring for the working of the Law of Love,
the Law of Attraction, of Like attracting Like. The mind is
the conscious instrument for the directing of that desire.
Faith is the channel which receives.
So in a case
of healing: First there must be the intense desire to be
whole. For instance, there must be no little psychological
hankerings after the delights of ease in a sickroom, and the
interest and sympathy and focal attention of friends. The
desire for absolute health must be whole-hearted. The mind
must take this desire and endorse it with conscious effort
towards the getting well. The faith viaduct must be open and
receptive.
Given these three
factors the patient is as good as cured.
This does not mean that
in every case a miracle of immediacy is effected. Sometimes it takes
time to build up that which has been destroyed or thrown out of gear.
The length of time taken would depend upon the open-ness of the
individual to the God-power through the effort to his own up-building.
More often, of course
it is easier for the individual to receive the healing power with the
aid of someone in whom he has faith as a healer. You see, the
reputation of the healer would go a long way towards overriding his
own niggling doubts.
