Revealed: The Luckiest Person in the World ~

Congratulations...it's...you!
"What?
Yeah right!" I bet you're thinking.
Well...yes,
you are...but only if you don't stop yourself before you even start.
OK.
So maybe I should explain a little.
For
a start, let me ask you a question.
"What
is Luck?"
If
you are like most people, you probably associate luck with someone else. I've
met very few people who would call themselves lucky.
If
you look at it a little more deeply, there are really two ways that we define
luck:
1)
The "Why not me?" factor
2)
The "It will never happen to me" factor
Let's
look at each one in turn:
The
"Why not me?" factor
I,
for example, could easily fall into this category if I needed an excuse. I
could say that I am unlucky because I have a disabled son. I could complain
about how lucky my sister-in-law is to have had three healthy children.
But
I don't...and I won't.
Why?
Because I am the lucky one.
I
have seen one family with three children that are as bad, if not worse, than
my son. So aren't I the lucky one to have a 'normal' daughter as well as a
disabled son?
To
those people who cannot have children...I am the lucky one to have had any at
all.
So
you see whatever situation you are in, someone is always going to be better
off than you...and someone is definitely going to be worse off than you.
Just
because someone has something that you haven't doesn't mean that they are
luckier than you...it might just mean that perhaps what they have got isn't
right for you anyway.
I
know for a fact that I wouldn't be writing this now if I was 'lucky' enough to
have had two 'normal' children.
The
"It will never happen to me" factor
This
could also have been called the "In the right place at the right
time" factor.
We've
all met them. Those people for whom everything just falls into place. You just
know that whenever something could go either way for them...they are always
going to 'fall on their feet'.
My
brother is a good example. He just wanders through life without a care in the
world and guess what? - everything just lines up behind him.
Why?
Well there's a clue in the last paragraph - he's 'lucky' precisely because he
doesn't worry about whether things will go right or not - he just does what is
right for him.
You
see...luck is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Dwell too long on the 'fact' that
you are never going to be happy, or the 'fact' that you will never have any
money...and guess how lucky you will be when happiness and money comes your
way?
The
reason why something will 'never happen' is because of your belief that it
won't. And guess where luck takes its lead from?
Belief.
Luck,
whatever form it takes, only seems to 'work' for those people who are classed
as 'lucky' by other people.
So
if you really think about it, we are all lucky in some form or another. It's
just that the 'unlucky' people choose to focus on the negative aspects of
their lives, rather than riding with the positives.
That's
why if you really let yourself...you could be the luckiest person in the
world!

World Meditation ~
|

Ah, yes, today is another perfect day. Another day to
be perfect within it,
walking your path, taking one more step. Be full of energy. Be
full of
love. Be full of joy.
And one of the ways to help yourself be full of love,
joy and energy is
through a particular meditation and awareness I will present
to you today.
Today, I wish for you to picture three worlds. Become
very relaxed, and
allow yourself to see these three worlds.
At the lowest level, this level, is the physical world.
This is a world
which is part dark and part light, with many shades of grey in
between. You
walk through this world sometimes shrouded in darkness, but
trying your
best, putting one foot before the next, trying to find your
way, trying to
walk your path, trying to reach the light.
At the next level up, in the next world, you also
exist, but you are energy,
love and joy. This is all you are. You are a glowing ball of
energy. And
there is a cord which connects you in your two forms, and the
energy, love
and joy flow down the cord from your higher God self and into
your physical
body.
When this cord is strong and clear, it glows golden;
when it is weak, the
golden light is pale and flickers. And when you strengthen the
cord which
runs between you and your god self, your spirit self, you can
feel the joy
and love, the pure joy and love which are you, running down
also into the
physical body, to clear away your depression, to clear away
your doubts,
your fears, all of the negative emotions.
Travel up this cord mentally. Be within your physical
body here, then lift
yourself up, feel yourself lifting up until you are part of
your god self,
your spirit self, the self which is pure joy and love. You
will know when
you have reached this part of yourself, because you will feel
the joy, pure
joy flooding through you, and it will be impossible not to
smile. To smile
from the simple joy of being, of having this awareness of
being. And once
there, then also feel the great love, the universal love which
flows and
flows and always is, and feel it also flowing down the cord
and into your
physical body.
The more you do this exercise, the more you will
strengthen your own cord
and allow the joy to flow down upon you. Do this exercise in
the morning
and then allow it to be with you through the day, filling you
with joy and
love.
And now, at the level of your spirit self, become aware
of the other spirits
around you. For at this higher level, you are also with the
other spirit
beings in your life. Everyone is there that you have ever
loved, will ever
love. They are all there next to you, glowing balls of energy,
full of joy
and love.
And there, you can see and sense the presence of
everyone, but stripped of
their difficult personalities. There they are still
individual, but they
are pure spirit. Here is your departed mother, stripped of the
fears and
anxieties which made her so difficult. Your beloved father,
now also
departed, stripped of his annoying idiosyncrasies, but still
with the
overflowing love which you once knew. All of your lovers,
spouses,
children, everyone you love now or have ever loved and been
close to. They
are still all there, right with you, reachable, accessible.
You can be with
them and feel the love which runs between you in this spirit
form.
Sense them, feel them, see them in this form, as their
best selves. You may
access in this way people that are in your physical life right
now, reach
them through love. Reach out to them in this way, joining with
them in
energy form, clearing away the petty differences which are
separating you
now. Feel them and sense them in their very best loving form.
Feel their
love. For if you are joined at this level, if they are part of
this level
with you then the love is there, it is a given. And what
separates you in
the physical world is due to the difficulty of keeping the
cords strong and
open, to allow the energy to flow down clear and clean, the
energy, the love
and the joy.
When you have reached this state of joy, this level of
your god self, then
feel free to utilize this contact for practical purposes as
well. Reach out
and join people in love. Let them feel your love and the
connection. They
will sense it only according to the strength and clarity of
the cord which
runs between them and their own god self, but they will sense
it at some
level and it will have an effect. Connect with pure love,
giving love to
people from whom you are estranged. And even if you never see
them again on
the physical level, they will know, in some way, that you are
still
connected in love at this level. And of course, draw comfort
from your
continuing connection to people who are no longer alive on the
physical
level. You are still with them here, souls joined forever in
love.
And now, deeply connected with your god self, connected
with the other
people you love and have loved, and are yet to love, now go up
one level
more.
At this highest level, you are all one. You are no
longer differentiated as
individuals, but are one spirit. It is here you will know the
oneness of
all, the spirit that is all spirit, the one that is all of the
individual
ones, the joiningness and beingness of it all, joined
together, in one vast
ball of energy, joy and love.
And at this level, the peace is immense; the peace is
everything. All that
exists is peace, floating in a sea of love and oneness.
All of this is here for you. All of this is yours to
access. If you are
unable to do so now, simply practice. Go down into your
meditative state,
and then lift yourself up. Lift yourself up until you feel the
joy. This
is your sign that you have reached the second level, for it is
impossible to
be here and not feel joy.
And then lift yourself up one level more, into the all,
the oneness. Into
the perfect peace which is there for you. Lift yourself up to
this highest
level and spend a moment here, before coming back down to your
god self,
then down again to your physical being.
And as you descend, strengthen the cord which runs
between your god self and
your physical self. See it as a source of energy, a source of
love, peace
and joy. See it as full of golden energy, flowing down.
Strengthen it and
allow the love, peace and joy to continually flow down into
you. See it,
feel it, know it. Let it flow down into your life, letting you
walk in the
light, walk in joy, walk in peace, walk in love.

I always believed myself to be this open, enlightened
father in relation to my daughter, Thom. I was genuinely
convinced that during the first 4-year period of her life, I had
not made any significant errors that had adversely affected her
growth and development. She's a happy, bright and lovable kid
and our relationship is wonderful.
Yet, the other day she was nagging me for something that I
refused to give her. It wasn't significant, as even now I cannot
recall what it was. After a few exasperating moments of
attempting to explain my refusal, I blurted: "Honey I'm
sorry, but you cannot have it all!"
The words were still in the air, when I realized how
disempowering the message I gave her was.
YOU ARE YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER
You
must be extremely cautious as to what ideas you present to your
child. This requires a sense of "monitoring" of both
your words and deeds. Does each word spoken to your children
demonstrate to them their uniqueness and glory as human beings?
Do you honor their unlimited power and strength with each
comment? Most importantly are you sending them the message of
total acceptance and love?
YOUR CHILD IS YOUR TEACHER
There
are many things we can learn from our children.
Children are natural in their very beings. They have not yet
developed all the shame and limiting beliefs we hold to be true.
Their self-esteem is not yet damaged by parental and societal
conditioning. They don't simply want a toy - they want the whole
toy store! They show us who we can be. The magnificent beings, we truly are.
So, how is it that we learn from and teach each other?
THE MOST IMPORTANT KEY IS COMMUNICATION
I
used to think it was impossible for me to really communicate
with my parents. So, for years, I never invested any energy in
doing that. Then at a certain point whilst far away in a foreign
country, I've commenced a written communication.
I wrote long letters sharing who I was, who I am and who I'd
like to become. I also shared who they were in relation to me
and what they meant for me.
I cried when I wrote the letters.
They cried as they read them.
Pain and joy, regrets and hopes, all blended together.
Family communication became possible, but only when love was
first there. Until I became a more feeling person - which meant
feeling pain, anger, hurt, and disappointment sometimes, but
also love, kindness, friendship, and generosity - I created an
emotional wall that impeded any genuine communication.
My biggest lesson was to open my heart.
Pain and grief and anger spilled out - but so did love.
It was then that communicating began.
Waiting for someone else in your family to begin the
communication process will not succeed.
If you wait for your children to initiate conversation about
what is on their mind, they will most probably retain their
fears, frustrations, and problems as a secret forever.
If you dream about your parents communicating their
disagreements and arriving at some happy resolution - keep on
dreaming. It will never become a reality.
If you have something on your mind but somehow never bring it up
- dare and do it NOW!
In one of my training programs, participants clear a lot of
their blockages in their relationships with their parents.
Many, actually dare and honestly communicate with their parents
for the first time. Later I receive feedback letters that read
like this: "Dear Nisandeh, the One Experience training was
so powerful! I've completed it and my father has totally
changed...!"
Your parents, your children and you, have a duty to communicate.
However, somebody has to make a start. Accept the challenge.
Here are a few tips how to master loving communication:
-
Pay
undivided attention: the other person is speaking to you.
-
Be more
interested in what is being said than in figuring out what
your reply is or to mentally "manage" the problem.
-
Ask
yourself what is really going on.
Use your intuition and wisdom to ascertain what your child,
mate, or parent is really saying.
When in doubt - ASK!
-
Take the time to listen, to
consider what's being said, to gain clarity, and to frame
direct but loving responses.
Communication takes time - and
deserves the time it takes.
On a spiritual level, you chose your parents and your children
and they chose you. You all did it for a reason.
It is your golden opportunity to grow, to learn and to complete
issues that hinder you on your journey in life.

It’s been said that the majority of conversations by men over 40
are about the past --- sometimes it’s about the "good old days"
and sometimes it’s about the deals gone bad, the
"if I only had"
stories, the missed opportunities, etc.
Letting our "sins and mistakes of yesterday"
dominate our
thinking today robs us of our present joy and our future
happiness. It causes us to miss the real opportunity of TODAY!
John Maxwell, in his outstanding best seller, "Failing
Forward,"
gives some great practical advice: "To move forward
today, you
must learn to say good-bye to yesterday’s hurts, tragedies and
baggage. You can’t build a monument to past problems and
fail
forward.
Take time right now to list the negative events from your
past
that may still be holding you hostage. For each item you
list, go through the following exercise:
1. Acknowledge the pain.
2. Grieve the loss.
3. Forgive the person.
4. Forgive yourself.
5. Determine to release the event and move on.
Your best days are definitely ahead of you if you treat your
"mistakes" as necessary lessons to be learned. If you
understand that each lesson brings with it a certain
amount of
wisdom, you can understand how truly enhanced your life is
becoming. Many people can’t achieve the success of their
dreams
because they won’t leave their past behind. They won’t tear
down the monuments they've built to their old hurts and
problems.
One of my all-time favorite affirmation verses comes from the
Apostle Paul who said, "...but one thing I do: forgetting
what
lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I
press on
toward the goal..."
And that's worth thinking about.
