WILDLIFE
WINS
Time is running out in the race to save hundreds
of animal species from extinction. Consider, for example, that the
total number of mountain gorillas (made famous in the movie
"Gorillas in the Mist") left in the world is less than
620 - that's smaller than the number of people in most churches,
schools and apartment buildings. Significantly, the mountain
gorilla is being killed off (by poachers, etc.) faster than it can
reproduce so unless something is done quickly, we can expect them
to disappear from the planet forever in the very near future.
Here is your chance to make a difference. Join now for your
chance to win big and save endangered wildlife.

the departed can bring solace, hope, and love into our lives. Now in perhaps the most important book he has ever written, Van
Praagh helps us to develop our own innate psychic talents. For the

"Practicing
the Presence of People - How we learn to love"
by
Mike Mason
A vital
exploration of our relationships - designed to make them all God
intends. In the deepest part of
our hearts and souls is the desire to love well. Yet in our
struggle to do so, we learn that, as Mike Mason puts it, "We
are not born with love; it is something we must learn." Now,
in Practicing the Presence of People, he helps us launch that
learning process. Mason points the way to fresh knowledge and
fresh experience, showing how we can discover new things about
those we love, understand them from the inside out, tenderly
identify with their weaknesses, and celebrate that they too were
lovingly made by the hand of God.

Are you rich?
Stop.
Think about that question for a moment, and answer it
honestly. Let it
wind down through your head, past your heart and into your soul.
Put it into first person.
Am I rich?
Ask, and wait for the answer.
It’s important to get an answer because your whole life
is currently being controlled by that answer.
Everything you do is colored by it.
Every single facet of your life is shaped by it in some
way.
In this life there are four answers, and
each answer shapes the reality of the person answering in ways
they may not even be aware of.
The first group says, “Of course I’m
rich. Look at all
the money I have.” And
then they go home to empty houses filled with all the finest
things in life but devoid of anything even nearly approximating
love. These are the
people who are lost but don’t know it, or who can’t face how
barren their lives really are.
The second group says, “I’m not rich.
Look around. I
can hardly pay my bills each month.
I have no savings, my car just broke down, and I have no
idea how I’m ever going to send my kids to college.”
These people hold “poverty” up like a badge of honor
when in reality, their focus on the bad keeps them in perpetual
bad without any hope of getting to the good in life.
The third group says,
“No, I’m not rich because even if I have a lot now,
something terrible could happen tomorrow, and then where would I
be?” These are
the people who are just waiting for bad to happen.
They can’t enjoy what they do have for fear of the
future. So, no
matter how much they have now, fear is their dominant emotional
state, and it effectively negates any positive feelings making
them perpetually feel “poor”—effectively keeping them in
bad.
And then there is the fourth group.
The first time I read this question, my
resounding answer all the way to the bottom of my spirit was,
“Yes, of course I’m rich!”
However, it wasn’t until a few minutes later that I
really thought about the question in terms of money.
I simply looked out to where my children were playing as
I sat on the steps of my home waiting for my husband to come
home, and I said, “Yes.”
How, in that context, could I answer anything but yes?
Life, however, is not nearly as logical as
it sometimes seems. A
few days later I asked the question of someone in exactly the
same situation, and that person’s immediate and resounding
response was, “No!” I
was astounded. How
could the two of us in as close to the same boat as two people
can get respond so differently?
The more I reflected on that paradox, the
more I learned about how and why I relate to my world the way I
do. When I was younger, a friend told me, “You know, you are
so lucky. Everything
always works out for you.”
At the time I said, “Yeah, and I work darn hard to make
sure it does.”
In light of this new question, however, I
can see why things work out for me—because I believe that they
will and I focus all my energy toward that end.
Then, even when they don’t work out like I planned, I
see that how they worked out was even better than what I had
planned or at least exactly the way they were supposed to work
out for my continued growth.
A circumstance which causes me to feel even richer than
before.
World-renown motivational speaker Anthony
Robbins has an exercise where first you “hope” something
will work out. He
says that when you hope, you see two possibilities:
the thing working out, and the thing not working out.
Then he invites you to “expect” that something will
work out. Expecting
focuses all of your attention, all of your energy, on the goal
being accomplished with no thought to it not working out.
When you expect consistently, your goals, your dreams,
and your plans have no choice but to come into being because
your thoughts create your reality.
And so back to our original question.
Are you rich?
When you look at your life do you expect
things to work out? Do
you focus all your energy on things working out?
Or do you sit back and hope that somehow they will?
If your answer to the last question is, “Yes,” then
I’d be willing to bet your answer to the first is, “No.”
It’s simple—if all you focus on is how “poor” you
are, no matter how great things may be, you will find a way to
feel “poor.”
Sarah Ban Breathnach, best-selling author
of Simple Abundance and Something More, suggests
keeping a gratitude journal where every day you write down five
things for which you are grateful.
This is an excellent way to force your mind to focus on
answering a resounding, “Yes!” to “Are you rich?”
Take a moment, right now, and list ten things in your
life for which you would not take a million dollars.
Having trouble thinking of something?
Then start with your health—that’s an asset most of
us take for granted. “But
I have a bad back and migraine headaches and PMS,” you say.
Maybe, but I have an uncle who is stricken with MS, and
he literally cannot reliably move any muscle in his entire body.
Not only is he in a wheelchair, he must be strapped to
that wheelchair so he won’t fall out.
He cannot feed himself, dress himself, or go to the
bathroom by himself. He
cannot drive, hold a pencil, type, or even roll over in bed at
night under his own power.
Now, how thankful are you for your health?
More importantly, are you rich?
Think about the opportunities and the
options you have stretched before you.
Yes, you may be in a dead end job or in a dead end
relationship, but you don’t have to stay there.
You can get out. So
ask yourself right now, what do you want to do with your life?
What is your dream?
If you could be anywhere in this life, where would you
be? Picture that
place in detail. What
does it look like? Breathe.
Close your eyes, and see it.
If you believe you are rich; if in your
soul your answer is a solid, no-questions-asked, resounding
“Yes!”, then you can achieve that dream and any other dream
you focus on. Nothing
can stop you.
Now, I can hear some of you saying, “But
I’m not rich. Look
at all these bad things that have happened to me.”
Then I say, start a grateful journal today—this very
minute. You don’t have a second to waste.
Motivational speaker, Marianne Williamson
says, “There is nothing holy about poverty.”
God, the maker of all things, has given you the greatest
gift of all—life, but what do most of us do?
Sit around complaining about every little thing that has
ever gone wrong and whining about how hard this life is.
Let this be your warning:
Do not tell your brain you are poor, for when you do, no
amount of riches—monetary or otherwise—will ever be enough
to make you rich. Believe
you are rich, feel you are rich, focus on how you are rich every
single moment of every single day.
For when you feel you are rich and believe you are rich,
more riches will be granted to you.
So, now, let me ask you once more, are you
rich? Be careful.
The answer is shaping more than you think!

~There is a Garden~
There is a garden, a luscious fertile garden. The endless river of love
runs through, and waters all that grows there. The sun of faith shines
gently down and blesses each flower, each tree, every bird and butterfly.
And the grass grows vigorously, reaching up to the sun, thankful for the
water of love. And peace reigns in this wonderful garden.
You walk in and stretch out your hand, and a ripe golden pear drops into
your outstretched palm. You lie on the cool grass and listen to the birds
and butterflies, until you know them as angels singing out your name. You
feel the earth underneath and begin to know it as the connection which runs
between all living things, the connection which is the soil which nourishes
and allows us to grow and expand and be, the connection which is the all.
And all you need to do, to spend time in this wonderful garden, is to enter
through the gate. Choose to enter and spend time here. Choose to nourish
yourself as the flowers are nourished. Choose to bring the light of faith
into your life. Choose to drink from the never-ending river of love.
Choose to lie upon the earth and know your connection. Choose to gaze up
into the sky and understand the wonder and glory of it all.
The gate is there for all, and it is open. But many fail to recognize it.
It is right there, in your heart and in your mind. It is ever open and
beckons you, asking you to take the time, to spend the few minutes each day
to wander in this garden of joy and life.
Some spend years with the gate firmly closed. And one day, for whatever
reason, it swings open just a crack. And they become curious. Curious
about something spiritual, something psychic, something creative, something
healing.
Often, it is misfortune which opens the gate for you. A dire illness which
forces you to seek spiritual comfort, or a grievous loss which does the
same. But somehow, once the gate has opened just a crack, it is inevitable
that you will eventually walk in. After years spent in the desert on the
other side of the fence, fighting and scrambling for a little bit of
brackish water, competing for each bit of sustenance, thinking that love is
scarce, and then, suddenly, the gate is open just a little to a fertile
wonderful garden, and you can see that all you have to do is step in.
But still some linger outside, unsure of whether to enter, wondering if it
is an illusion, believing that it undoubtedly is.
And it is no wonder that some should wonder. For if this exists, if there
is a bounteous, abundant world for all, a place where joy and happiness are
as abundant as the golden pears on the trees, then why would anyone choose
to fight and struggle in the desert? And so it must be an illusion, they
think, and if they step inside and spend time here, they will appear
foolish, and the desert dwellers will call them strange and foolish, the
desert dwellers who cannot see the garden, cannot even glimpse the gate.
The harsh sun of faith in material things has blinded them to the beauty
which could be theirs.
Step in. It is real. It is very, very real. The abundance is all here.
The feeling of joy, of peace, of love is very, very real. Refresh yourself
here. Rest your weary mind and body. Bathe in the river of love. Swim in
it. Let yourself know it as real. And then, when you must trek across the
desert and deal with the desert dwellers, carry the garden in your mind, to
refresh you and nourish you.
And as you do this, you will begin to realize that you can make the garden
as real to you as you wish, and you can carry it with you everywhere. Once
you have walked through the gate and drunk from the river of universal love,
once you have begun to experience what it feels like to lie down on the
grass and be at peace, you can choose to make the garden live within you at
any time and in any place you wish. And when you are troubled, when events
happen which threaten your peace and make you turn to fear and doubt, create
the garden again in your mind, recall it and stretch out on the grass.
Breathe in the scent of the roses. Gaze up at the sky. Drink from the
river of love.

Training
the Imaginative Mind ~ Discover the Genius Within
Ask people
what images come to their mind when they hear the word
"happiness". The answers you will receive will differ
substantially. Words remains empty, until 'imaginations' fill
them with life.
When we were kids we all had very vivid imaginations, we experienced
the most fantastic stories, some of them being quite 'irrational', and
when we told our parents about it, they reacted by saying that 'these
things don't exist'. The imagination, the image we had experienced was
taken away from us by intellectual grown-ups, whose logical mind
dismissed our images and stories as nonsense.
Little by little, this has made us 'sober'. The little child filled
with imagination turned into a rational grown-up.
Following is a simple exercise which helps us to develop our ability to see images:
|
Place a flower you especially enjoy looking at
on the table. Look at it carefully. Then close
your eyes.
|
|
Now
you will see the flower with your inner eye. Maybe only
for a second, maybe two, this is not important. The
moment the flower disappears from your inner eye, open
your eyes for a short moment, then immediately close
them again, letting in the image of the flower again and
then imagining the image again.
|
|
Repeat
this step again and again, for about five minutes |
|
Next
take another motif, like an apple, a vase, or anything
else. Look at your motif, this time only shortly, close
you eyes, imagine and visualize your motif, see it with
your inner eyes.
|
Practice this exercise for about a week (or as long as it takes until
you feel fully confident with it), and you will notice a difference in
your imaginative abilities as well as in your perception of things.
Once you feel you have mastered it, continue to do it once a week.
Visualizing mean creating images, and it is extremely important
because our subconscious receives more information from one image than
from a thousand words. If you have a certain goal in mind, it is
important to create clear images of this goal. These images must be
different from any images of your present situation, otherwise your
subconscious will see them as being part
of your present life and not as something new that
you wish to achieve.
Following is an exercise you can do to train your mind to focus on a
specific goal you want to attain without having the images of your
present situation interfere. Do this exercise only once you have
mastered the previous one:
|
While washing the dishes or cleaning the house,
imagine that you are lying on the beach.
|
|
While
standing with your eyes open, lifting your right leg and
your left arm, imagine that, with closed eyes you are
lifting your left leg and your right arm.
|
|
While
dancing a waltz, imagine you are dancing
a tango.
|
You can use your imagination to create more examples to this exercise,
which you should also do daily in the beginning, until you feel
confident with it.
Now let us take a closer look at our way of thinking:
There is the one hemisphere of our brain that thinks in terms of words
and logical relationships (the left hemisphere). Now
we do not want to belittle the importance of logic, but the problem
for most of us is that we rely too much or even solely on our logic
and on input from the right hemisphere of our brain. Our logic mind
believes it is always right.
Our right brain, on the other hand is not as half as judgmental as the left brain, and has a very different approach. It
thinks in images and is our visual memory storage. Here you have a
place of vast and beautiful possibilities, because the visual memory
knows no boundaries.
Our visual memory is also the source of our of creativity, and this is
true also for people who live mostly in a world of abstraction and
logic. Research has shown that even mathematicians do not think in
numbers and words, but in images and movements, which are translated
into formulas and numbers and a later stage.
We should therefore rely on our images and visual impressions, while
at the same time granting our logical mind its due space.
In order to awaken the genius within you, it is important to
synchronize the left and the right hemispheres of your brain.
The following exercise will help you to do this:
|
Sit down quietly and close your eyes
|
|
Listen
to a tape you have previously recorded.
In the recording, slowly mention various words
and situations, and while listening to the tape, imagine
these words separately in either the left or the right
hemisphere of your brain.
For example: on the left a flower, on the
right a tree, on the left a baby, on the right
an old lady. It is important to visualize the images
simultaneously, not one after the other.
|
|
Listen
to the tape again and switch the images, for example
if you associated the flower with the left hemisphere
before, imagine it on the right side this time.
|
Each of us has his or her preferred brain hemisphere that is used most
of time, simply out of habit. In our Western world, this is mostly the
left brain hemisphere. Therefore it is all the more important to
develop and train the right brain, and to open up to creativity.
Let us now continue with our visualization exercises.
If you feel confident in your ability to see images, it is time for
the next step:
|
Bring up in your mind a wish or dream you
have which has not yet come true in your life
|
|
Imagine yourself explaining your wish to
someone who does not know anything about in
IMAGES ONLY (similar to a silent film)
|
|
You are now your own director and actor,
shooting this film. Try not to make it too long - two to four descriptive images or
scenes are sufficient.
|
|
Replay your film in your mind as often as
possible.
|
The results will not fail to show.

~The Empire of
Peace~
The coming empire of peace
is to be built by reconciling differences, making enemies
friends, telling people of the good that is in them rather
than the bad, discouraging gossip and evil speaking by the
introduction of subjects more pleasant and profitable, and
proving through one's life that there are laws, not generally
recognized, which will give health, happiness, and fortune,
without injustice or injury to others.
To
strive to forget enemies, or to throw out to them only
friendly thoughts, is as much an act of self-protection as it
is to put up your hands to ward off a physical blow. The
persistent thought of friendliness turns aside thought of
ill-will, and renders it harmless. The injunction of Christ to
do good to your enemies is founded on a natural law. It is
saying that the thought or element of good-will carries the
greater power, and will always turn aside and prevent injury
from the thought of ill-will.

Mulford

Nostradamus-
Predictions for tomorrow
Hosted by Orson Welles, this is still one of the most talked about videos ever made and now with the tragic events surrounding The World Trade Center, this video is more
relevant than ever! Take a look at the predictions of 16th century French astrologer and physician Nostradamus. Some
say he correctly predicted the fall of King Louis XVI, the rise of Napoleon and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Plus an attack on the America's that is eerily
similar to the World Trade Center.
