PART 1 - LIVING IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF LIGHT

A person's expectations of the future are mostly colored by
the words "health, wealth and happiness".
And indeed, you can create health, wealth and happiness to be
part of your life not only in the future but right here and now.
What is important is to understand that where you stand right
now in your life is a product of this same life. Let's take health
as an example. It is easy to stay healthy, simply by leading
a harmonious life. If harmony and peace of mind have a place
in your life, then this peace of mind and harmony will find their
expression also in your body.
Where there is anger or even hatred, it is difficult to keep
the body health. What you call "a healthy diet" definitely
assists to keep your body healthy, but it is not the primary
factor contributing to your health. Harmony and peace of
mind are.
A person living in constant conflict with himself and the
world will in vain search for health. A person starting and
ending the day in haste and hurry will have difficulty keeping
his body healthy. Everything you expect from the future, has
its roots within you and will evolve according to your deeds,
thoughts and emotions.
Everything you expect to come to you from the outer world,
including wealth, can happen, if you create the preconditions
for it, and only YOU can do that. So the next time you run
into a conflict situation or a disharmonic incident, be it
in your family, at your workplace or the like, try to see
how YOU fit into this picture. Why do you happen to be
faced with this situation? And as the next step it is up
to you to create harmony from disharmony, and to live in
an atmosphere of pureness, light and beauty, without
being affected by your neighbors anger, haste or hurry.
Imagine that you are a wearing beautiful, radiant coat of
light that lets no imperfection from the outside get
through. Once you practice this, you will feel safe in
your shield of light, no matter what happens outside of
you.
The light will become your constant companion, if you
let it.

Many times I am eager to deal with everything on my own.
I don't dare to ask you for help, because I fear to be a
bother. Or I believe that only I know the answers in my
innermost self and that only I know what is best for me.
I now realize that there are many people waiting to be
asked for help. I now stop behaving as if I knew everything
myself or could do everything on my own.
There are many areas in my life that you can see better and
more precisely than me through your eyes. I also sometimes
suppress certain feelings that you are able to better feel
in my presence than I do. I know that you are interested
in my life and in my doings.
So I open myself know for your advice and support. I open
myself to you, and I trust you.
I truly accept you.

Happiness is the free expression of the God-within.
God is Love, Love is Giving, Giving is Service.
Happiness exists in Service.
Service to others is the free expression of the God within us.
God is the Great Lamp, the Source of all Light, the Source of
all Giving, the Source and Giver of all Service. The Spirit
Core of each one of us is an infinitesimal replica of God,
being made of God substance. The God within us is us. It is
our life. Therefore we are only happy when we are allowing
the God within us full rein, the full expression of His
loving Self; when we are so to speak, swimming with the
God-stream instead of battling against its current.
The tide of God is creative.
The God within us is creative.
We are happy when we are creating.
We are happy when we are tuning in with that Beauty of
Balance and Wisdom that we can appreciate at our stage
of development. It may be the beauty of nature, of flowers,
of human form, of artistic creations, of prose and poetry - or
of contemplations of the Mind of God. In each case it is the
degree of our development that is the key to the tuning in.
A child is happy in the contemplation of a read ball; a youth
is happy in the contemplation of a sentimental picture; a mystic
is happy in the contemplation up to which his mind will reach
towards the Mind of God.
In each case the happiness felt is due to an intensifying of
vibration induced the sympathetic tuning-in with Truth ... with
that which holds within itself a Balance of Wisdom and therefore
Beauty.
The happiness known is the happiness felt by a flower when
the sun comes from behind heavy clouds, or by a dog that is
fondled by its master. The dog feels and responds to the
beam of warmth and light that you play upon it. The musician
listening to a Beethoven symphony is in the same position as
the dog.
Happiness, or an intensification of vibration is felt by him
as he allows the finer vibrational Rays of the musical thought
of the composer play upon him.
Happiness is to be found in the intensification of vibration
engendered by the creative sex impulse, and by the expanding
of the God-power within, in athletic sports and creative
physical activities.
Happiness is to be experienced in the intensification of
vibration engendered by the harmonizing of two individual
yet sympathetic vibrations which together make a perfect whole.
