There is no darkness in reality. The darkness that we see at night-time is due to the limitation of the mind of man.

The purpose of night and day, light and darkness, is to keep ever before man's mind in clear fact the difference between error and truth. Already the symbolism of light and darkness runs through men's speech. Pitch darkness shows as much lack of Balance as dazzling light. Neither condition denotes perfection of Balance. 

We have to remember that man is on a journey; that he is in the process of becoming; that he is still very far indeed from the goal. We have to remember that a measurable time ago man was not at all. That life on this planet was not at all. Then we must remember how the Mind of God gave birth, on this planet, to the spark of Himself within the single cell. And that conceived in the Mind of God was the spark should grow and develop until it is like fire to its parent, with the ability to draw from its Parent Source creative power; and with the power, like its Parent, to radiate creative light.

The perceptive abilities of a spark, or one little spot of light-ray, could only be very limited in a great field of light. So that man still sees darkness because of the limitations of his perceptive ability.

It is right that he sees darkness in this world with the senses of this world's material vibration. But if he only uses those material senses, he is in no position to aver that there is no other light but the material light of the sun. He sees no other light at present because of the limitation of his perception.
