Dreams can be enlightening or disturbing, stress-releasing or stress-producing, revealing or mysterious, and just about everything in between. This is because what we experience in our dreams, as in waking reality, is composed of much more than just personal, private events going on inside our heads. Dreams are often traces of events that take place on other dimensions. The brain records these events (sometimes more clearly than others) from the inner planes of consciousness in what we call dreams. Everyone dreams, but some people do not remember that they were dreaming, so they think they do not dream at all. Just as any two people who witness an outer, physical event may report it differently, so our dreams express our own unique way of experiencing inner events. Yet, the inner event being recorded is not necessarily "dreamed up" by the dreamer. This is why people who are very close, such as friends, lovers, family members, and fellow students of lightwork sometimes report having the same dream at the same time.

Columns: A Message from Quado: Experience Yourself
|
by Carrie Hart and Quado
A reader asks:
Are we here now because of our individual spiritual choices or because we were birthed through fate? If we're birthed through fate, then we can never evolve above our original spiritual state ...and I somehow sense that we're leading, through our human experiencings, the evolution of the whole...
Quado, do you have an answer to this question?
Yes, I am pleased to address the issues in this question. But first, I would like you, for a moment, to stop thinking and just feel. Feel who you are. Feel your presence. Now to do this, you need to spend a moment in breathing deeply and clearing your mind. Clear your mind gently, and if thoughts wish to come in, just gently watch them as they enter and flow out the other side. Do not let them bother you. Do not focus on them. Let them drift in and out.

Energy - The River of Life
|
by Dr. Rita Louise, Ph.D.
We are each filled with universal life force energy. It is the essence of our being, our consciousness, our soul. As the flow of life force energy moves through the physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies, it can become imbalanced, stagnant, or blocked. We experience what is called dis-ease. Disease, as the term suggests, is lack of ease. It is the inability of one's life force energy to flow freely.
Disease is the reaction to imbalanced life force energy in the physical, emotional, or spiritual body. This imbalanced energy can manifest as physical problems, as well as life patterns and cycles that keep us from growing. Disease can manifest in the physical body in the form of headaches, back pain, arthritis, or cancer. It can manifest in the emotional body in the form of anger, rage, phobias, depression, and hate. It can also manifest in the spiritual body, appearing as narrow-mindedness, disrespect for life and nature, or materialism.

I have been blessed with many spiritual teachers on my path. Although I now recognize that all are my spiritual teachers, I am speaking here of those who may be best described as mentors. When I became aware that I was on a spiritual path, I did of course, find a teacher, just as the saying goes, ?¢â?¬??when the student is ready, the teacher appears.?¢â?¬? This woman helped me in more ways than I can recount, including as a role model for my current career path, as well as spiritually. She seemed to be all that I aspired towards.
Then one day, she had the temerity to show her humanness ?¢â?¬â?? she had ?¢â?¬??issues?¢â?¬â?¢ after all! This was actually devastating to me. I think it was because I thought that if this could happen to her, then what hope did I have?

Make Your Workplace As Spiritual As You Are
|
by Dr. Joan F. Marques
"The foundations of a person are not in matter but in spirit."
(Ralph Waldo Emerson)
As we proceed with our daily routine, and life happens to us no matter what other plans we make, our level of experience and wisdom grows. We become more moderate; more yielding: more receptive. The sharp edges fade and the relativity of things becomes apparent.
An awareness that usually accompanies this list of maturity transitions is the desire for a spiritual environment wherever we operate, and--since we spend a third of our life over there--not in the least our workplace. In a spiritual workplace we learn to accept our colleagues, supervisors, subordinates and customers for what they?¢â?¬â?¢re worth, and we learn to respect their points of view no matter how radically these may oppose ours.

Keys to Choosing In Favor of Your True Self
|
by Guy Finley
Part I:
It is never the unwanted condition itself that has us stuck, but that we are unknowingly hung up in habitual thoughts and feelings about our situation. To be New we must learn to see ourselves from that part of us that knows who we really are, our True Nature, was not created to be a captive of anything!
Part II:
Just as the echo of a voice that has shouted out, "Stop making all that noise!" is itself powerless to stop the one shouting, or to otherwise effect a change in its own harsh tone, so too is the level of self that negatively reacts to any unwanted condition powerless to change its unpleasant experience of that moment, or to transcend its own unconsciously self-produced stress as it goes through this struggle.

Samadhi Cultivation Through Meditation Practice in Christianity, Islam, Judaism
|
by Bill Bodri
If you read the Buddhist sutras, you'll find countless discussions centering on the various methods for attaining the samadhi realms of concentration, as well as detailed descriptions of these states. The neat thing is, when you look closely at the writings of Christian, Islamic and Jewish saints, you'll also find an emphasis on samadhi as well, including descriptions of the same common techniques used to cultivate it. That's right - all the religions use similar techniques to cultivate samadhi since it's a nondenominational stage of spiritual attainment. It's just that organized religion doesn't bother to let you in on this fact.
Nonetheless, the prophets in the Bible only became prophets because they attained varying stages of samadhi, and the saints in the various religions of the world became saints for the same reason as well. It's all due to samadhi attainments, or to the higher achievement of getting the Tao.
