The Shift: Breaking Rules

We were having lunch at a little café during a lunch break at a Utopian Conference where my dad was both a key speaker, and the founder of the conference.

The waitress was either busy, or ignoring us. Either way my dad wanted more coffee and someone else at the table needed mustard. After a decent interval of waiting, I got up and got both the coffee and the mustard myself.

The Shift: Gifting Your Future Self

Instead of giving our future self a problem, wouldn’t it be more fun to give our future self a gift? Future self - as in tomorrow, later today, next year, or 10 years from now. We all do it sometimes. We make enough in one meal to have it later. We save some money to spend it later. We mow the grass during the week so that we can go away on the weekend.

But, more often we give our future self a problem instead of a gift. We spend more money then we have, we don’t clean up our mess, we cover up problems, we don’t take good care of ourselves, we don’t learn new skills to keep up, we don’t read the instructions on something we are putting together, we don’t listen when someone is telling us something.

Happy Thanksgiving 2009 and Beyond: The 2012 Shift

It is customary in many countries around the world and as part of ancient traditions to join in thanksgiving festivities addressed to the Creator for the bounties and the harvest that have been bestowed upon each of us in the prior year.

This tradition is not only celebrated in the new world but is as old as mankind’s birth as an organized family and community.

On that day, we pause from our regular activities and menial concerns, transcend our egos, and join hands in a chain of fraternity and joy that is meant to bring us back to our origin as one unique and connected family: humanity.

The Shift: Fire and Flow

During one of our early morning talks in the dark, Del with his coffee and me with my honey and vinegar, we sat watching the fire in our stove.

The fire was doing something we had never seen before. It would quiet down so that all that we saw were very hot logs, and then a spurt or whiff of fire would rise and immediately blink out, as the entire roof of the stove would suddenly be alive with flame. Within moments it would quiet down and repeat the process, but never the same way twice.

How to Have a Direct Experience of God

Many say they believe in God, but believing in God is not the same as having a direct experience of God. Direct means first-hand, not second-hand. It is not hearsay or conjecture. Direct means something happens to you. You go through something, and then you can say you have had an experience. Throughout history, belief in God has resulted in people gathering for worship in churches, mosques, and temples. All over the world people still congregate based on similar beliefs about God. But how many can really say they know God?

Love and faith are the two most important qualities that make a substantial relationship with God possible. Love pulls you to the Divine Being; faith expects that something real will happen. Love connects you and God together; faith brings trust that God will respond to your hopes.

Raising your Vibration - How to Bring Greater Light into Your Life

At this time on the Earth, many souls are now entering a new phase of life that is offering the opportunity for greater spiritual expansion. For some this happens by apparent chance, for others through choice. Some souls enter a time of spiritual expansion after a long period of ordeal where very little light could be seen or felt for a very long time.

When a soul is ready to step forward in a more significant way upon the spiritual path, there arises a greater longing for light and for God's love. In today's world, the incidence of panic and anxiety disorders is on the increase. It is no wonder with the large challenges facing humanity as a whole, and in our individual lives, that more and more people are feeling anxious and afraid, or even panic.
