The other day my family and I visited my in-laws for the weekend. We had just finished eating breakfast and I began cleaning the kitchen. On the counter by the stove, there was a splattering of grease, which I embarked on wiping up. My mother-in-law told me to "hold on" as she reached under the kitchen sink and pulled out a bottle of "grease away". Within seconds of her spraying it onto the counter, the fumes reached my nose and throat and I started to cough. With eyes half open, I looked at my mother-in-law and announced, "That product is pretty darned toxic". Her response was "but it works good!" |

Words are thoughts expressed which carry the message of our intentions with them. Our external speech can be thought of as a reflection or external manifestation of our inner programming. The words we use can tell us a lot about how or what we think. Words can be either charged with the positive energy of love, that helps us expand, or they are charged with the energy of fear, that causes us to shrink away from who we truly are.
Our words have power, and our speech has the power to set the energy or the directions we choose in our lives. |

America is considered the land of the plenty. This is especially true when it comes to food. There is no need in this country to stand in line for a loaf of bread. Daily, we eat more than a small bowl of rice and glass of milk. In fact, I remember many a day as a child, if I didn't want to eat my dinner and I was reminded of the starving children in Africa. The thought of being without food is beyond the grasp of many Americans. |

A few scattered clouds dotted the clear blue sky. The sun, shining its golden rays, played hide and seek with me as it streamed through the dense green foliage that lined the windy two lane road. The temperature was rising steadily as I made my way down the mountain from Flagstaff to Sedona, AZ, on State Route 89A. By 9 am, the thermometer was already reading 83 degrees and I wondered what it would it be like when the heat of the day reached its peak. I was relieved to know that God created air conditioning and that I was fortunate enough to have this wonderful creation in my car. |

My dad has high blood pressure. He has gotten more refunds, discounts and free stuff than anyone I know. He will haggle about the cost of an item or the quality of services rendered. He is also not put off by taking someone to court if he feels he has been swindled in any way. I kid with him, calling him a professional complainer. To him, however, he sees it as kind of a hobby. We are each filled with universal life force energy. It is the essence of our being, our consciousness, our soul. As the flow of life force energy moves through the physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies, it can become imbalanced, stagnant, or blocked. We experience what is called dis-ease. Disease, as the term suggests, is lack of ease. It is the inability of one's life force energy to flow freely.
