 Carrie is a poet, singer/songwriter, spiritual healer and channeler of Quado. She is also a management consultant in Information Technology and a former CIO and Vice President of a Fortune 50 company. Her ability to move effectively in all of these worlds gives her spiritual messages a distinct mix of the artistic, the spiritual and the practical.
Carrie's exodus from the stressful world of corporate management and introduction to the worlds of creativity and spirit is the topic of her autobiographical book,
There is a Garden. It is also the force behind the songs of her CD,
"It's Personal", written during the same time period covered in the book.
Carrie was a late bloomer, both in spirituality and psychic skills. She had not even heard of the term "channeling", when an unexpected job loss opened her life to a new world. As Quado has often pointed out, the doors to the garden of spirituality can often best be seen when you are lying flat on the ground, having lost all that you thought was most important.
Throughout this experience, Carrie has been led by spirit, rather than seeking it, both in her contact with Quado and later with Running Wolf, a Native American shaman spirit who introduced her to spiritual healing. Click here for more on Running Wolf and spiritual healing.
Carrie lives in California with her husband, Ed. They share their home with Katie, a beautiful, perfect dog saved from the shelter, and Oscar, an orange tabby mouser who appeared at a gas station in response to Carrie's wish for a cat.

A new and breathtaking challenge faces me. I have no foggy clue as to which way to go. I don't see what to do here and now, and don't see the long term path. I need assurance of success, or none of the phenomenal effort will have been worthwhile. And without success, there is no point in living. Can you help?

Let us first look at what is meant by success. If you are defining success as some predetermined goal toward which you will work, if you are defining it as accolades from other people, as achieving something they have set out for you, then you must know that there are no guarantees that you will achieve this. |

I would like to know the significance of the Glyphs, or Crop Formations, and why there is such a dense concentration around the Silbury Hill and Pewsey Vale areas here in England. Also, why do I and many others feel such attraction and feeling of kinship with some of them?

Recently I experienced the death of a dear young friend, the death of a treasured pet for many years and now, just yesterday, the death of our young kitty. She died without an obvious cause and without either of us being there with her. Does Quado think that perhaps my young kitty’s death has something to do with an experience I had about 6 years ago when I lost my most cherished pet and how I dealt with her death back then? Perhaps this kitty’s death is another opportunity for me to find a way to reach deep down within myself to find a way to deal with losing someone important to me. Can her death possibly have this purpose in my life? I am saddened by her mysterious death and with the death of my friend and my other pet just recently, I feel the need to have her death somehow explained.

A few years ago I decided that I wanted to become a doctor and have since worked extremely hard in school to raise my school average so that medical schools would consider me for an interview. I have never wanted anything so badly before; it truly is my dream to become a doctor. It seems to me that ever since I became focused and decided to set goals for myself that nothing I have really wanted has materialized; I have not yet been granted an interview, and smaller academic goals that I have set for myself have not been achieved either. In the last few months I have felt overcome with anger and disappointment, and have felt almost forgotten or betrayed by the Universe. I am feeling defeated and feel like a failure and wonder what I am to learn from all of this?

Money seems to be one of the lasting stumbling blocks in my life. I have a lot of resistance and angst come up every time I pay the bills and I put it off until I have spent some of the money that needed to go to the bills. While some of my resistance is around the job of paying the bills, crossing the t's and dotting the i's, most of it seems to be around the feeling of lack, having to balance the scales. But when I finish doing this and all is paid and in line I feel really good! I have tried gratitude for what I have, lighting candles, making it a special time. I am still resistant and fearful around this job. Do you have any advice?

I had a wonderful dream recently. I was sitting on the grass along a river and saw a beautiful rainbow. It was jagged with brilliant colors of purple and orange. It was so beautiful I was saying over and over "Oh my God, oh my God," and then a figure of an angel appeared coming out of the rainbow almost like a light show. It then turned and fell to the earth. I thought "Fallen Angel", although I did not know what I meant by this. I was then lifted upward into the air. I was very light and was not afraid. I wondered if it was my time to die but somehow I knew it wasn't. I came back down toward the ground and awoke at the same time. I felt like weeping. It was a mixture of joy and sadness at the same time. All in all it was a remarkable and beautiful dream and I feel touched in some way. Any thoughts?

When you are attracted to a member of the opposite sex, can there be more than just the attraction element at play? I was wondering if sometimes there is a link between you and the person you are attracted to on a soul level. Maybe you were attracted because of having a past life with them. I am torn with what I call grief or missing or sadness, and am not certain how that fits into letting go and going with the flow. Therapists call this part of the grief process, but according to my reading and understanding it has to do with forgiving and letting go of an attachment. How does one let go of missing someone? I awake some mornings with a jolt of realization that I really miss someone special to me. That person's presence, touch, smell.....I can't provide those things myself. Three years ago, when I followed some bioenergetical treatment, my whole life changed: I started to be seriously interested in all the books that dealt with the real self, I discovered more about me and I constantly feel some sort of energy in my hands. I believe that I could have a special task to do in this world and I cannot understand what, yet. My first question is: How can I get in contact to my higher self? I cannot get a connection to my higher self and I am desperately seeking it. And once I hear a voice within myself which I think it is my higher self, how can I distinguish between my higher self and channelings of other light beings?
My second question: I feel very drawn to all kinds of channelings and other New Age topics like ascension to a higher dimension and it feels very true to me. But I also read teachings from enlightened people who teach that there is nothing to seek, and once you are enlightened the seeking stops. Everything else is described as a concept. How does this fit together?
